With every new company and team we roll out to, we are capturing new insights and feeding those back into how the platform evolves. To date, here are the top best practices for Partners / Agencies:
- Key Contact's should have photos. This makes your company's portfolio more personal, putting faces and people behind your brand.
- On Key Contact's profiles, the "Office of Responsibility" should only be checked for the person(s) your clients should reach out to for new projects specific to the city of execution.
- The Portfolio PDF Upload is now displayed as visual thumbnails, bringing a visual overview of your work for client users. This has evolved from a simple PDF clients can download to visual thumbnails showing each page of your deck. Please make sure that your deck, especially the first six pages, is very visual and shows your best work with simple captions highlighting the project and year. Do not put a title slide in the first six pages. If you show work that was done for a different client, please clearly label it as such. Otherwise, less text for those first six pages helps decision makers get a quick read on the work you do.
- Add new client teams to who has "Worked With" you. This helps you in two ways: 1) It shows more people from within the company as having "Worked With" you, 2) It will help encourage those clients to leave you a review as they complete engagements with you.
- Update your portfolio regularly. We recommend once a quarter or as you knock out #4 above, but make sure you update things at least twice a year. This way, you can check that your Key Contacts are still up to date, your portfolio work highlights your latest and best work, and you can update any new parts of the business you have worked with as well.
Though these are the best practices that may not be immediately obvious, we believe they will help you expand your relationship with the people at your client company and make it easier for them to do business with you.
It goes without saying that the more complete your portfolio is, the better positioned you will be as well. Make sure to use the % Complete guide at the top of your private agency portfolio to help make sure you are at 100% Complete.
