Partner users are required to use multi-factor authentication (MFA). There are two options available to enable MFA:
- PREFERRED: An authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or a similar app,
- Receive your code via SMS/Text (available in most countries).
By default, the system will show you an authenticator QR code which will allow you to quickly use an authenticator app like Google Authenticator on your mobile device or tablet.
Use SMS/Text on your mobile device
To use the SMS/Text option, just click the SMS link near the bottom of the multi-factor prompt. Receiving an SMS/Text requires you to have a mobile number or phone number tied device where you can receive the SMS/Text message.
Don't have a mobile device? Don't worry
You can actually use your computer to load an authenticator app like Google Authenticator. You don't have to use Google, there are other popular authenticators if you prefer.
Download Google Authenticator onto your desktop/laptop/iPad/phone:
INSTALL GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR
Once you have an authenticator app on your desktop, laptop, iPad, go to log in to your customer's instance of our SpotSource Partner Management system (might be called an Agency Marketplace, Marketing Hub, R&D Marketplace, Professional Services Hub, Capability Spotter, or something else).
When you see the QR code, there is a link that will say something like "having trouble with the code". Click that link and it will give you a number-letter code that you can paste into the authenticator you have loaded on your desktop/laptop.
After that, you should be logged in. If you are having difficulties with Google Authenticator, here's a list of other compatible Authenticator apps.
