What is MFA?
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access. MFA adds another level of security to your login process by requiring two or more types of proof that will confirm that you are who you say you are.
This reduces the likelihood of a successful cyber attack by someone trying to impersonate you while accessing your profile. Most major companies are now requiring their suppliers and partners to use MFA to access systems that contain confidential information.
How to setup MFA for your user profile.
- Use an authenticator apps (recommended as it is the industry standard and widely supported)
- Previously, we supported SMS/Text, but as the industry started to recognize security issues with this, we have removed this protocol.
These Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) steps work for brand-new setups and password resets if you never set MFA up before.
Make sure to have two (2) items ready:
-
Mobile Phone with one of these Authenticator Apps installed
- Auth0 Guardian (Google Play / App Store)
- Authy (Google Play / App Store)
- Google Authenticator (Google Play / App Store)

A secure place to record your recovery code
Follow these steps to use Authenticator Apps
- Open your email program and look for your Private Invite or Password Reset email. Can't find it? Be sure to check spam or junk folder. If you still don't see it, contact your company's admin or our support to make sure you have been invited to the platform.
- Click the link (or cut and paste it into your browser) to setup your account.
- Create a strong password that you will remember .
- Once you setup your password, the site will ask you to log in with your password.
- After you log in, an MFA page with a QR Code will appear (see example below).
- Open the Authenticator App on your mobile phone and scan the QR code provided
- If your Authenticator App is unable to read the QR code, click the "Trouble Scanning?" link on the website to receive a passcode that you can paste into the Authenticator App on your mobile phone.
- After you successfully get the QR Code or special code into your mobile phone's authenticator app, a code will appear on your authenticator app. Enter this code into the website area that says "Enter your passcode here"
- Once that is done, your Authenticator app and the site are in sync and can be used going forward.
- The website will now give you Recovery Code. Pause and make a note of it in a safe place. This code will be necessary to restore your MFA status if you lose or change your mobile phone device.
